Mystery solved!
(update 7 May, 1999)
In response to my question,"
Does anyone know what clan this kilt represents?", Alice, Claire & Melissa told me that it is a McDonald tartan -- which I wrote down wrong (maybe I was a few McNuggets short of a meal?). Then Leatha, Melissa & Robyn advised me that it is a MacDonald tartan. Which tartan Mr. Rickman wore in honour of Sharman MacDonald when The Winter Guest transferred to The Almeida Theatre, Summer '95. Thank you Alice, Claire, Leatha, Melissa, and Robyn!
First, a heartfelt thanks to all who visited the April Monthly Rickmanista, which had a record 300+ visitors last month!
Finally we have been able to see Judas Kiss (in my instance, thanks to a friend who taped it for me), for which we had a year’s wait. Judging from the attendance statistics to The Rickmanista Review, several people came to the Internet looking for Rickman sites. However, when Sense And Sensibility played on a national network last December, hundreds of people from a dozen countries came visiting, with a record 53 in just one day -- Colonel Brandon does have an effect on people. In the meantime, we continue to wait for Dark Harbor (which I really want to see on the big screen) and Dogma, and the now-in-production Galaxy Quest
Juds Kiss will still be shown during May on Cinemax. Check the TVNow link on the Films page for the schedule. I’m preparing a separate page for Judas Kiss, and would love to post your reviews!
Jumping to an unrelated subject, as you might have read on The Rickmanista Review, I am now participating in the Daily Vigil For Peace:
Every day, thousands of people around the world are praying at the same time (whatever their time zone might be) for world peace. It may be a prayer, a moment of silent, or a moment of meditiation. Join us every day for a few moments, at 3PM, Eastern Dailight Savings time (1900 GMT) in a prayer for peace .

This Month's Letter to the Editor
Dear Fausta,
Why do you show that Mr. Rickman supports The Royal Court Theater, but do not discuss the Maureen Paton book, or other details of Mr. Rickman’s life?
Wanting News
Dear Wanting
Three reasons:
1. A person at Mr. Rickman’s agent’s office has specifically stated that he would appreciate donations to The Royal Court. It is not a rumor.
2. Mr. Rickman actually refused to autograph the Paton book one evening after Antony And Cleopatra, which I interpret as meaning that clearly he doesn’t like the book. I have no desire to add to his aggravation.
3. The Rickmanista Review is by the fans, for the fans, to discuss Mr. Rickman’s work as reviews that can be visited on a more or less permanent site. The Monthly Rickmanista is more lighthearted, and makes fun of ourselves (mostly of myself!) as fans.

Leatha’s generous offer
As you may remember, last month Leatha sent us information on The Royal Court Theatre from Melanie Parker at ICM
"Although Mr. Rickman does have many charity commitments he asked that if you would like to make a donation it would be most appreciated at the following theatre: Attn: Helen Salmon Royal Court Theatre (Downstairs) St. Martins Lane London WC2N4BG England UKSincere thanks for your kind letter and generous endeavor."
Leatha has offered to send a hand-made Rickman doll to any fan who donates $100 to The Royal Court, if you send her a copy of the receipt. The doll is made of cloth, with Mr. Rickman’s photo for face, and wears a hand-knit wool sweater.
For addtional information, write Leatha at jlabetts@burgoyne.com

My new car,

and no, the licence plate does not say RICKMANISTA. After all, my husband gets to drive it!
